CFTSI Training Opportunity

Is your CAC or partnering mental health provider looking to enhance their trauma treatment expertise? Carrie Epstein, Co-Director of the Yale Center for Traumatic Stress and Recovery and co-developer of the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention, is offering a virtual CFTSI training in July 2022. This is a great opportunity to expand the evidence-based treatment offerings in your center or coverage area in a cost-effective way!

CFTSI is a brief (5‐8 session), evidence‐based early intervention for children 7 to 18 years old that reduces traumatic stress reactions and the onset of PTSD. CFTSI is implemented within 30-45 days following a traumatic event or the disclosure of physical or sexual abuse. CFTSI is used successfully with children with extensive trauma histories. The goal of CFTSI is to decrease post-traumatic stress reactions and onset of PTSD by increasing communication and family support.

If you are interested in applying to attend this training, or if you are interested in applying to have clinicians from your program attend this training, email Carrie Epstein directly: epstein.carrie@gmail.com.
