Announcing a Tribal CAC Virtual Peer Group

NCARC would like to invite anyone affiliated with a Tribal Child Advocacy Center or a Child Advocacy Center that serves Tribal populations to participate in a recurring virtual call to discuss issues related to improving CAC services for Tribal children, families, and communities. While there are numerous regional and national conferences and events that bring together CAC professionals, there are very few opportunities for Tribal CAC professionals to connect or to discuss issues specific to Tribal communities. We anticipate scheduling these calls on approximately a monthly basis and letting participants shape the conversation and determine the agenda for each meeting. Our role will be to facilitate the calls and to support peer group participants in any way we can, consistent with the work scope of our center. We hope that the peer group will allow Tribal CAC professionals to share helpful ideas, resources, and lessons learned, with an overall goal of improving Tribal families’ access to effective, culturally responsive CAC services.

Contact NCARC Director Maegan Rides At The Door at maegan.ridesatthedoor@mso.umt.edu or 406-243-2644 if you are interested in participating.
